About Us

FinScholar is an independent educational platform dedicated to helping international students find funded global opportunities and navigate complex visa processes safely. We were founded by a small team of former international students who remembered how confusing, expensive, and emotionally draining the study-abroad journey can be — and how many students give up simply because they cannot find clear, unbiased information in one place.

Our mission is simple: publish the guides we wish existed when we were applying. Every article on FinScholar is researched from official sources, written in plain English, and reviewed before publication to make sure it reflects the latest deadlines, fees, and eligibility rules. We deliberately focus on the areas where students lose the most time and money: fully funded scholarships, student visa applications, standardised exam preparation, international student loans, and mandatory health insurance.

We are not affiliated with any university, government embassy, migration consultant, lender, or insurer. We do not accept payment for coverage, and no company can buy its way into our recommendations. When we mention a specific scholarship, bank, or insurance provider, it is because it is publicly available, widely used by students, and — in our editorial judgement — worth knowing about. We fund the site through clearly-labelled display advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links that never influence which programs we cover.

Above all, FinScholar exists to keep students safe. Study-abroad fraud is a real and growing problem, from fake scholarship "processing fees" to unregistered visa consultants. Our guides constantly repeat the same message: verify every requirement on the official government or university website, never pay a third party for a scholarship application, and reach out to us if something looks suspicious. We are just an email away at support@baivc.com.
